| rabi-san, I copied the title from IMDB.Com. It indeed contains diacritics that most PCs won't read. "Supesutoraberazu", yes. And, please, don't call me Ognyana-SAN. The SAN makes me feel queer and uneasy, just as if it were applied to an elderly professor or a guru. I'm not that old or that clever. I feel as if i failed to meet smb's expectations and fell short of some standard when i see this SAN. I've recently seen "Shinigami-no Seido". A success again. Another excellent piece of acting. By the way, many actors let mannerisms and gestures of their own get into the behaviour of their characters. How do I know? Watching films I can see the same gesture repeated, a peculiar way of tossing one's head, etc. What amazes me TK ALMOST NEVER lets this happen. He doesn't repeat himself or his characters. AMAZING! Every role is unique and the best. |

| rabi, I did want to ask you, may be it's not right to ask something like this, but how old are you? 25 or older? Because I did approach you rabi-chan and perhaps it was incorrect either. And you, Ognyana too |

| Hi Omkasia-chan I'm older, and older than TK... But please call me rabi-chan. The one has friendly feeling, and I am glad. Is not the age necessary for a feeling to love him? |

| Oke, rabi-chan! I will call you so And I agree, that age isn't so important in love. Love is love in all ages, like a miracle in every heart Anyway I like to call like this , and I'm very glad that Jin is so popular, and so much beloved! |

| It's O.K. with me if you just use my nick when addressing me. I think it's a forum of equals, as we are all fans of TK. Anyway, here we are off work, and it's mostly there where rank, social status, age and god knows what else may matter. The age of a woman is a kind of taboo in my culture. On the other hand, it doesn't disagree with me if I'm using '-san' or other forms of polite addressing others. It's absolutely O.K. with me, it doesn't go against the grain. Just tell me how you like to be addressed. No problem. |

| Rabi-san, -chan is perfect. By the way, saw "Chi bi" the other day. You know, TK MAKES the film again. At least when I first read through "Three Kingdoms" I am ashamed to say I was reading and forgetting almost at the same moment. ' ' There were several reasons for that - endless names that you seem unable either to understand or to memorize for that reason (as European names don't mean a thing to Asians I'm sure) and sort out who's who, a lot of characters, an unusual style of storytelling (at least for many a European), events that don't ring any bell for most Europeans - the book resembled a maze. Now Zhuge Liang has a face (at least that's my personal association), and more than that - the calmness masking that the man is drawn like a bow quivering with suppressed tension, aristocratic touch of humour and clear understanding of things, a touch of mild irony and some hidden sadness, a living soul deep inside. (Why am I so bad at wording what I see?) If it were not for him, and Sun Quan played by Chen Chang and Sun Quan's sister the film would be just another Chinese battle epic for me. I must confess (as I used to have some acquaintances among local rock and reggae musicians) I was especially delighted with the 'jam session'. ' ' I've seen more than once how it works in real life when two people meet and start talking this way. On the whole, looking forward to Part 2. |

| Hi Ognyana-chan I have saw "Three Kingdoms" by an Anime before. It was easy for me to learn their relations and name. It is because probably we use a Kanji routinely. And I think that the reason is because I can understand the meaning of the name than a European person.Otherwise I think that I am not learning. By the way, it snowed for the first time this year yesterday. It is cold. |

| Hi, rabi-chan (is it o.k.)? Sorry, but I didn’t quite understand what you meant when you wrote: | rabi wrote: | | “And I think that the reason is because I can understand the meaning of the name than a European person. Otherwise I think that I am not learning.” | Could you explain?
I never called “Three Kingdoms” a dull or a bad book. It’s kind of exotic for me, though I should say that Tang Dynasty poetry, Su Shi, Pú Sōnglíng, Lao She, Feng Jicai (what a writer!!!), Shan Sa (oh, I know she’s writing in French), Lu Jiamin (why it took his character so long to understand that a wolf wouldn’t bend to HIS rules? It’s on the surface! But the book’s nice), Can Xue, Da Chen were much easier (though as exotic in their manner of perceiving the world), and I liked them a lot. I think now I’d better reread the Three Kingdoms.
Rabi-chan, how lucky you are! You have snow! It’s a topsy-turvy world, isn’t it? There’s snow in Japan and you think it’s a bit too much, I here in Russia (of all places!) am sitting and pining and longing for snow. It’s December – and not a snowflake where I live. +5+8 C, green grass growing, even live flies buzzing by! Oh, no! I’m afraid it’s difficult to explain, but I long for the smell of snow, for the white shroud that covers everything when the first snow falls, for the slight frost (-5-8 C), for children tobogganing, for receiving a snowball in the back from the children you’re passing by, for falling flat on my back in the soft and pure snow just to feel its touch. In short, I’m feeling as tormented as the poor bear in our local zoo that can’t go to sleep because it’s too hot. (Not all Russia is that hot though – in Yakutia -50 C and a lot of snow as usual, we here should have approximately -5-14 C in December, but alas!)
Admin, sorry for off topic. |

When I compared it with a European because Oriental culture could understand it (for example, a Chinese foreign student lives in my home for one month, and I traveled many times in China), "Three Kingdoms" was able to understand it easily. I wanted to say in this way.
Yes, the "Three Kingdoms" 's book is splendid.
Admin, sorry for off topic, me too. |

| Hi, rabi-chan, Your post about the snow was kind of a lucky charm - today we had the first snowfall. Anyway, the winter here is a MONTH late. I hope the weather sets itself right in your place, too. Omkasia - yes, we're talking about the book. Can send you the Russian text via e-mail, if you want. By the way, stumbled in the Internet upon an article that says that "Warlords" was named the best Asian film of 2007 and that the Golden Horse Award for acting went to Jet Li for the role in this film. I might be mistaken, but my belief is that for this particular film the award should have gone to TK (though Jet Li certainly deserves heaps of awards, but just not this time. ). Anyway, it's only a personal opinion. |
